Dirty Dog Pottery

The Studio

My passion for clay began around fifteen years ago. Life strolled by. My children were born, careers were built, but the passion for clay lived through it all. Today a driving force leads me. The love of clay and the drive to create calls to my spirit. The passion not only comes out through my work but also in giving the gift to others through classes. Teaching led to a wonderful group of women I work with. They are not just my students, but have become my teachers as well. These women are my muses, my friends and my companions

The Dirty Doggers

Doggers

This is collaborative group of women brought together by the love of life and art. In April 2007, a seed of dynamic energy was awakened when this group first met, giving fruit to collaborative works of pottery while growing roots and dreams as the Dirty Dog Potters.

  • Hil-Dee Fisher — Owner of the Dirty Dog Studio. Potter, Artist, Teacher and the “Lead Dog.” The mother of three great kids. She has a creative force to be reckoned with!
  • Tara Pacifico — A creative entity. Artist, owner of August Moon Art, gardener and nature lover. A spirit of the universe that embraces creativity with love, light and a warm glow. You can reach her at the Dirty Dog Studio, or at www.augustmoonart.com
  • Becki Ryan — Becki is the one who gave Hil-Dee the confidence to make her dream a reality. She is a Massage Therapist and the owner of Dragonfly Emporium, a metaphysical shop. A mother of one that is always forward moving. She has the best husband, “the cook.”
  • Ara Hobbs — The “cutest” Dirty Dogger! A truly beautiful spirit inside and out. She is the mother of one. Innately happy, she embraces all things with a smooth love. We all feel good when she is around.
  • Jane Brekka — This Dirty Dogger embraces life with bells & whistles! Mother of one, an avid photographer and world traveler, Jane takes life head on, experiencing everything with an unrivaled vibrancy. Ask her were she’s been lately…(China?)
  • Crystal Eaton — Gardener, Nature Lover and an expert in designing and executing any project that uses fabric. An artist in many ways… “limit” is not in her vocabulary. A mother of three, Crystal is an amazing intuitive spirit that is guided to all positive lights.
Wheel

The Studio is fully equipped with all the tools to create art. While the wheel turns, slabs are rolled, designs carved, and bisque is glazed in endless new combinations. In the corner, the kilns fire on a computerized cycle, and unloading is often a community event.
