My passion for clay began around fifteen years ago. Life strolled by. My children were born, careers were built, but the passion for clay lived through it all. Today a driving force leads me. The love of clay and the drive to create calls to my spirit. The passion not only comes out through my work but also in giving the gift to others through classes. Teaching led to a wonderful group of women I work with. They are not just my students, but have become my teachers as well. These women are my muses, my friends and my companions
This is collaborative group of women brought together by the love of life and art. In April 2007, a seed of dynamic energy was awakened when this group first met, giving fruit to collaborative works of pottery while growing roots and dreams as the Dirty Dog Potters.
The Studio is fully equipped with all the tools to create art. While the wheel turns, slabs are rolled, designs carved, and bisque is glazed in endless new combinations. In the corner, the kilns fire on a computerized cycle, and unloading is often a community event.
Marley - The Dirty Dog Studio Mascot is our biggest cheerleader. He gives an enthusiastic welcome to all who pass through he studio, both strangers and long time friends.
